BBVA considers education as a key priority in the context of the Corporate Responsibility Strategic Plan.
Under the Community Investment Plan in Latin America, the Niños Adelante (Children Forward) program donated 12.5 million euros by year-end 2009, supporting over 56,000 children through educational scholarships. BBVA has invested over 18 million euros in education in the region.
Educational scholarships are directed to the most underprivileged sectors and as a support to primary and secondary education.
