BBVA Bancomer is the first financial institution in the country to adopt the Forestry model for reforestation. Throughout the 10 years that they have been working together, BBVA Bancomer Foundation and Pronatura have reforested more than 13.5 hectares and collaborated for the environmental education of 70,500 children and youngsters.
Give & Gain Day is an initiative run in Europe by Business in the Community. It has been organized for the third time in Spain by Forètica and Fundación Voluntarios por Madrid to promote corporate volunteering as a means of investment in the community.
In September last year the BBVA Volunteer Office launched the School Debating League project, an initiative that in its first edition succeeded in mobilizing over 1,260 10th-grade students from 24 schools in Valencia. The semifinals of this ‘revolutionary training method’ are already underway.
