Two young people with disabilities have been selected to take part in Ruta Quetzal BBVA 2012

• Both will comprise the ‘Disability Embassy, a new inclusion in the Ruta Quetzal BBVA competition, which aims to promote the inclusion of persons with disabilities in every aspect of life: educational, cultural and social
• The 27th Ruta Quetzal BBVA expedition departs on 19 June, and will follow the route taken in 1783 by José Celestino Mutis, at the head of the Royal Botanical Expedition to the New Kingdom of Granada, now Colombia. The expeditionaries will then travel to numerous Spanish cities, including Cadiz, which will be celebrating the 2nd centennial of the constitution of 1812

BBVA increases Corporate Responsibility investment by 17 percent in Colombia

BBVA Colombia will invest 5,930 million pesos during 2012 on the implementation of its Corporate Responsibility Strategy, according to Óscar Cabrera Izquierdo, executive president of BBVA Colombia, in a press conference to present the initiative. “We have increased by 17 percent the amount of investment in the social actions that was have launched in Colombia and we hope to reach more regions this year and increase the number of beneficiaries” Cabrera Izquierdo said.
