The bank sets aside a minimum of €1.8Mn to fund 180 solidarity projects on local levels throughout Spain. For this inaugural ‘Territorios solidarios’ (‘Regional Solidarity’ Project) initiative, BBVA employees have proposed over 2,600 projects. After an external auditing process, 559 projects were selected which will now be voted on by BBVA staff in Spain. With this initiative, BBVA aims to involve all of its employees in its Corporate Responsibility policy, and to detect community needs on a local level.
